LAST WEEK: I went alone to Sao Paulo Brazil for 58 hours. Turns out Cashew Juice is a thing. And MTV Brazil appreciates “noise music.” I got home and went to see Swans play the most inspiring show I’ve seen in 5 years, went to work at 9 a.m. the next morning (turns out today’s youth are bored by Network?!?!?) Read the new Jesse Ball novel in one long sitting then went to Champaign early the next day to play a festival and drove home in time to see Dan Higgs play. I’m considering changing my clothes today.

THIS WEEK: Please do come –

MONDAY NIGHT: I’m DJ’ing at The Burlington featuring lots of weird new old Brazilian records.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Joan of Arc – last rock show until at least next spring, whew. With Brokeback and Coins at The Hideout.

SATURDAY NOON: Joan of Arc Big Band one-time performance of “20 Drumsticks on The Search” at Andrew Rafacz Gallery.

SATURDAY 4pm: I will be among the readers for the release party of Dmitry Samarov’s Hack at The Rainbo Club.
